May was a focused month. Three changes in particular landed for studio owners and the admins who run StyleMatch behind the scenes.
Verified studios via KYC review
Studios can now upload a passport photo and a government-issued ID from Settings. Reviewers in the admin console approve or decline with an optional reviewer note, and the studio receives an email either way. Verified studios pick up a small blue tick next to their name — a quiet trust signal in a category where trust is everything.
Staff cards instead of tables
The old staff table never quite fit how owners actually think about their team. We replaced it with a card grid — one card per staff member, with the services they offer, their assigned location, and an active/inactive toggle. The Super Admin owns the studio and is always on the team; everyone else can be edited, suspended, or removed by an admin.
Account deletion that respects history
Both customers and studios can now be deleted, but we don't hard-delete the underlying record. Personal data is anonymised, the row stays so prior bookings remain consistent, and Cloudinary assets are cleaned up in the background. It's the quiet kind of work that keeps the platform honest.
