Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and StyleMatch (“we,” “us,” or “our”) and govern your access to and use of our websites, mobile experiences, and related services (the “Services”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Services. If you are using the Services on behalf of a business or studio, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms. The Services are not directed to children under 16.

To use most features of the Services, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account.

You must notify us promptly if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are being misused.

If you use StyleMatch as a customer to discover and book appointments, you agree to:

• Provide accurate booking and contact information.
• Honour appointments you book and follow each studio's cancellation policy.
• Pay for services you receive in accordance with the studio's stated prices and any deposits collected.
• Treat professionals and their staff with respect.

If you use StyleMatch as a professional, studio owner, or staff member, you also agree to:

• Hold any licences, insurance, and registrations that local law requires for the services you offer.
• Provide accurate information about your studio, services, prices, and availability.
• Complete identity verification (KYC) when requested. Submitting falsified documents is grounds for immediate account termination.
• Honour confirmed bookings, communicate promptly, and uphold a professional standard of service.
• Manage your studio team responsibly, including the role permissions you grant to staff and the customer information they access.
• Comply with applicable consumer protection, tax, anti-discrimination, and health-and-safety laws.

StyleMatch is a platform that connects customers with independent professionals. Appointments are between you and the studio you book; we are not a party to that appointment. Studios are responsible for setting their own prices, deposit requirements, and service terms.

Where StyleMatchfacilitates payments, payment processing is provided by third-party processors. By making a payment, you agree to the relevant processor's terms in addition to these Terms.

Cancellation, no-show, and refund rules are set by each studio and shown to you before you confirm a booking. Refunds, where applicable, are handled by the studio. StyleMatch may step in to mediate disputes but is not obliged to issue refunds for services delivered (or not delivered) by an independent studio.

You agree not to:

• Use the Services for any illegal, harmful, deceptive, or fraudulent purpose.
• Post content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, defamatory, or infringes the rights of others.
• Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorised to access.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Services or their security.
• Upload malware or use the Services to distribute spam or unsolicited messages.
• Misrepresent your affiliation with any person or studio.

We may remove content, suspend access, or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.

You retain ownership of the content you post (profiles, photos, service listings, reviews, etc.). By posting content, you grant StyleMatch a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and otherwise use that content as needed to operate and promote the Services.

You are responsible for the content you submit. We may remove content that violates these Terms or that we determine, in our reasonable discretion, is not appropriate for the platform.

StyleMatch and its licensors own the Services, including the software, brand, logos, and underlying designs. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Services in accordance with these Terms. No other rights are granted by implication.

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any defects will be corrected. Bookings, services, and outcomes are the responsibility of the independent professionals you engage with through the platform.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StyleMatch and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Services. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to StyleMatch in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars (US$100).

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless StyleMatch and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Services, your content, or your violation of these Terms or any applicable law.

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services if you violate these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if we discontinue the Services. On termination, sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive will survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law).

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where StyleMatch is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You and StyleMatch agree to resolve disputes in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, except where local consumer protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where the changes are material, take additional steps to notify you. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
